Pathway Creation

The "Pathways" feature on ProEdge allows administrators to create curated learning journeys for upskilling. These pathways, organized by skills, roles, and interests, ensure a comprehensive learning experience. An intuitive admin-side UI is essential for effortlessly managing these pathways, supporting learners in their professional development.

Problem

Organizations struggle to efficiently upskill their workforce due to existing tools that lack the ability to create personalized learning pathways aligned with individual skills, roles, and interests. Current admin interfaces are often complex and inefficient, making it difficult for administrators to design and manage these tailored journeys.

How might we leverage existing tools and features to develop an intuitive and user-friendly admin-side UI that enables seamless creation and management of personalized learning pathways, thereby enhancing the upskilling process for learners with minimal additional development effort?

Solution

Admin Flexibility in Pathway Creation

To enhance upskilling, our solution provides administrators with the flexibility to choose between using existing tracks and creating custom pathways. This leverages the current system's capabilities, enabling admins to easily select pre-existing learning tracks for standard needs or craft tailored pathways for specific skills, roles, and interests.

Additionally, administrators can set parameters such as duration and apply filters like content type and provider. Based on these parameters, the system offers content suggestions, facilitating the creation of comprehensive and personalized learning journeys. By offering this dual option and parameter customization, we streamline the pathway creation process and minimize additional development, improving the learning experience while maintaining efficiency.

User-Centric Pathway Organization and Customization

To further enhance the upskilling process, our solution empowers users with the ability to organize and customize their learning pathways. Users can add or remove content as desired, ensuring their pathway aligns perfectly with their learning objectives. The system allows for the creation of sections and subsections, each with customizable descriptions, providing a structured and clear learning journey. Additionally, a user-friendly drag-and-drop feature enables users to easily move content from the content cart into their chosen sections or subsections. This intuitive organization and customization capability ensures a personalized and engaging learning experience, fostering better knowledge retention and skill acquisition.

Pathway Publishing and Draft Management

Our solution introduces the capability for administrators to manage the status of learning pathways through "Publish" and "Save as Draft" options. By choosing to publish a pathway, it becomes searchable within the system, allowing learners to discover and engage with it. Additionally, administrators have the option to push the pathway directly to targeted learners, assigning due dates to ensure timely completion if necessary. Conversely, the "Save as Draft" feature provides flexibility for administrators to save their progress without making the pathway publicly accessible. This allows for further refinement and completion at a later time, ensuring pathways are thoroughly developed before release. This dual approach enhances pathway management, ensuring pathways are both impactful and thoughtfully curated.

Results

The proposed solution has been warmly received by stakeholders for its user-centric design and streamlined approach to upskilling, even though it has not yet been fully developed. By outlining flexible tools for pathway creation and user customization, the concept effectively addresses key challenges. The envisioned intuitive interface and features like content organization and publishing are designed to enhance accessibility and engagement. Stakeholders appreciate the plan to leverage existing capabilities, minimizing additional development. Overall, the project concept has surpassed expectations in its planning stage, promising a dynamic learning environment that aligns with organizational and individual goals once implemented.
